Zwei Leichen, zwei Waffen, ein inszenierter Tatort: In einer Kfz-Werkstatt stoßen die Kommissare auf ein scheinbares Duell zwischen dem Besitzer Berkan Althans und einem Unbekannten.
Doch schnell wird klar: Die Spuren deuten auf eine dritte Person hin und auf ein Netzwerk um illegale Straßenrennen. Im Fokus steht ausgerechnet Althans' eigene Auszubildende, die nach einem heftigen Streit spurlos verschwunden ist.
Während die Ermittlungen in die Szene der illegalen Rennen und in ein Umfeld aus Drogenhandel führen, tritt ein verhängnisvoller Unfall aus der Vergangenheit ans Licht.
