Welcome to the handball department of TV Hannover-Badenstedt

From 08.05.1988 to 30.06.2018, the HSG Hannover-Badenstedt, the handball joint association of the clubs TV Badenstedt and Badenstedter SC, wrote a success story. Since 01.07.2018, handball in Badenstedt has been operated and further developed by TV Badenstedt von 1891 e. V. The handball department counts over 330 members and registers a total of 18 youth and 5 senior teams for the 2020/2021 season. There is also a veterans' team, which currently does not participate in the league competition.

As a club established in mass sport, we also support performance-oriented teams. For several years, we have been represented in state and upper leagues with youth teams. In the 2009/2010 season, the female C-youth team won the Lower Saxony championship and the North German vice-championship. The female B-youth team reached the German Championship in the 2011/2012 season after winning the Lower Saxony championship, which they won in a brilliant final.

The 1st women's team played in the 2. Bundesliga in the 2016/2017 and 2017/2018 seasons. The female A-youth team is one of the “founding members” of the Youth Bundesliga (JBLH) and, like the B- and C-youth teams, starts the season in the Oberliga preliminary round.

The home venue is the sports hall of the IGS Badenstedt on Salzweg. The “SalzwegArena” has a capacity of 300 seats.
