Freunde der Viermastbark PEKING e.V.

The four-masted barque PEKING is the Hamburg shipmaster, the last Flying P-Liner preserved in its original condition to have sailed the salpeter route around Cape Horn.

The non-profit association Friends of the Four-Masted Barque PEKING e.V. supports the PEKING and its owner, the Foundation of Historical Museums Hamburg, with its volunteer engagement at the quay wall and on board.

Since the PEKING was opened to visitors in 2021, tours and the accompaniment of events on board have been carried out by our association, Friends of the Four-Masted Barque PEKING e.V.

Previously, operations and maintenance were actively supported by members of the association. Furthermore, experts from the association are working on the historical and technical documentation of the active sailing period from 1911 to 1932, as well as on the acquisition and restoration of objects that were not included in the shipyard contract but are necessary for the faithful restoration and presentation of the ship.
